CEFTER INAUGURATES SECTORAL ADVISORY BOARD

Centre for Food Technology and Research, Benue State University Makurdi recently coordinated the inauguration of the Sectoral Advisory Board (SAB) in fulfilment of the core requirements for the second phase of the Centre’s mandate.

Speaking while performing the ceremony the Vice Chancellor explained that members of the advisory Board were carefully selected across specific sectors of the nations economy to ensure robust interactions and stimulate the sort of intellectual intercourse required to strengthen the centre’s new mandate and provide the necessary advisory framework to inspire excellence. He appreciated the committee members for accepting to serve the university in that esteemed capacity and expressed confidence that the committee members would bring their core competencies to bear on the execution of their assignments

Responding on behalf of the committee, the Chairman (convener) Professor Ode Ojowu (former Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Benue State University Makurdi) appreciated the University for finding them worthy to serve on the Sectoral Advisory Board. He described the assignment as sensitive, strategic and an opportunity to contribute towards the overall development of the university.

Highlights of the occasion were the presentation of speeches from representatives of World Bank, Association of African Universities, citations of committee members, virtual interaction of committee members with CEFTER funding partners, pictures and light refreshments.
