MOAUM COUNCIL AD HOC COMMITTEE CONDUCTS ONSITE INSPECTION AT CEFTER

The MOAUM Council Ad Hoc Committee on Monday, 9th February 2026 carried out a comprehensive onsite inspection of the Centre for Food Technology and Research (CEFTER), underscoring the University’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and good governance.

The inspection, which covered key operational and administrative areas of the Centre, focused on assessing compliance with approved plans, prudent use of resources, and overall institutional readiness.

Key areas reviewed during the visit included:

Project Progress Review: An assessment of approved projects to determine the level of completion in relation to agreed deliverables.

Financial Verification: A detailed examination of financial records to ensure that allocated funds are being utilized strictly for their intended purposes.

Stakeholder Consultations: Direct engagement with administrators to gain firsthand insights into operations, challenges, and achievements.

Facility Assessment: Evaluation of infrastructure, safety standards, and the operational state of facilities within the Centre.

Beyond routine oversight, the visit was aimed at establishing facts and reinforcing accountability. At a time when public confidence in institutions is increasingly tied to transparency and verifiable actions, such inspections play a vital role in strengthening trust.

Good governance at CEFTER may not always be headline-grabbing, but it remains essential—turning commitments into measurable progress and ensuring that institutional objectives are met responsibly.
